​​Blackpaw - Red Collar Rose'

Since my wines are all about me, I picked the name "Red Collar Rose" because I'm a black lab and black labs always wear red collars. I introduced by first rose' wine for the 2019 vintage to mom and dad's wine club members and they thought it was "best in show".  Cool and refreshing yet substantial, the wine was summer in a bottle.  My current rose' vintage is 2020 - it's a full-throttle rose' of cabernet sauvignon from two vineyards in Rutherford.   Humans tell me it is a great rose' to pair with food as it's #NoWhimpyRose. 

​Blackpaw - Petite Sirah

My 2017 petite sirah comes from the Chalk Hill AVA and is a barkalicious wine. The wine is purple in the glass and the nose is full of black fruit along with earth and spice. The mouth is round with lush blackberry, boysenberry, hints of cinnamon and refined tannins. Mom says the wine is balanced and polished so you won't have to wait 10-15 years to open a bottle. Dad says the wine goes great with grilled meats and veggies (I concur as Dad sneaks me some morsels at the dinner table).
